Terms of Service

Effective date: 7 July 2026 · Applies to the Tolle VPN Android app (com.tolle.app) and tolle.io

These terms are a contract between you and Tolle ("we", "us"), based in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. By installing or using the Tolle VPN app or this website (together, the "Service"), you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Tolle provides a virtual private network (VPN) application for Android that encrypts your internet connection and routes it through servers we operate. The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising displayed inside the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into these terms in your jurisdiction, or use the Service under the supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to them on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring that using a VPN is lawful where you are.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, for your own personal use, in accordance with these terms and Google Play's terms. All rights in the Service, including software, branding, and content, remain ours or our licensors'.

4. Acceptable use

The Service exists to protect ordinary browsing, not to shield abuse. You agree not to use the Service to:

  • engage in any activity that is illegal under applicable law, including unauthorized access to systems, fraud, or distribution of unlawful material;
  • infringe intellectual-property rights, including unlawful distribution of copyrighted works;
  • send spam, launch attacks (including denial-of-service), scan or probe networks without authorization, or distribute malware;
  • harass, threaten, or harm others, or violate anyone's privacy;
  • interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, or resell the Service, or circumvent its technical or advertising mechanisms.

We may suspend or block traffic and terminate access for violations of this section, with or without notice.

5. Free service and advertising

The Service is currently offered without charge and includes third-party advertising, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may change, add, or remove features of a free service at any time.

6. No accounts; your responsibilities

The Service does not require registration. You are responsible for your device, your network access, and any charges from your mobile carrier or internet provider. You are solely responsible for what you do while connected to the Service.

7. Availability

We aim for a reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in any particular location. Server locations, capacity, and features may change over time. Third-party websites and services may block VPN traffic; that is outside our control.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. A VPN improves the privacy of your connection; it does not make you anonymous to services you log into, and it is not a guarantee against every security threat.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to €50. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability arising from intent or gross negligence.

10. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your unlawful use of the Service.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by disconnecting and uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, or discontinue the Service, at any time, including for violations of section 4. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 8–10 and 13) survive.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be announced inside the app or on this website. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere — nothing in these terms limits such mandatory rights.
